Once search.b1.org is entered into your computer, search.b1.org take over the control of your all web browsers and take over your homepage. start.b1.org can modify your browsers settings. Step 1: Remove search.b1.org from Internet Explorer

  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Click on Tools menu (press “alt” key once to activate the menu bar).
  • Click on Internet Option under tools menu, once you click on that you will get an Internet explorer configuration window.
  • Click on Advanced tab on Internet explorer configuration window.
  • Click on Reset button under advanced tab, once you click on that you will get an another window which is “Reset Internet Explorer Setting
  • Tick mark the check box which says “Delete Personal Setting” under reset Internet Explorer Setting window
  • Click on Reset button under reset Internet Explorer Setting window
  • It will be finished automatically, after finished click on close

Remove search.b1.org infection from Internet Explorer shortcuts.

  • Right click on the shortcut of internet explorer then click on properties, once you click on that you will get a properties window, go to target location path section, now make sure that there is any other path added after Internet Explorer file path, if you get search.b1.org path in the end of target path then delete that search.b1.org path. Just keep internet explorer location path, after modification click on OK. You will get shortcuts location in start menu, desktop and taskbar. You need to modify all Internet Explorer shortcut’s target path. (if search.b1.org is exist)

Step 2: Remove search.b1.org from Mozilla Firefox

  • Open Firefox
  • Click on Help menu (press “alt” key once to activate the menu bar).
  • Click on troubleshooting Information under help menu, once you click on that you will get a troubleshooting information page.
  • Click on Reset Firefox button which is located at right of the page, once you click on that you will get a another window, in that window click on Reset Firefox again. Firefox Reset process starts and will take lot of time to finish.

Step 3: Remove search.b1.org from Google Chrome

  • Close all Google chrome browser
  • Copy following path as per your operating system version
    • path for windows XP
      %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
    • path for windows 7, 8, Vista
      %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default
  • Hold down the Window flag key and then press R key together (Window + R key), window flag key is located between “ctrl” key or “alt” key, once you press windows + R key you will get a run box which is used to run any command line.
  • Now paste that path in this run box and then click on ok, once you click on ok you will get a location folder of Google chrome.
  • In that location find out the file named as preference and rename that file to preference.old, put .old in the end.

  • Right click on the shortcut of Google Chrome then click on properties, once you click on that you will get a properties window, go to target location path section, now make sure that there is any other path added after Google Chrome file path, if you get search.b1.org path in the end of target path then delete that search.b1.org path. Just keep Google Chrome location path, after modification click on OK. You will get shortcuts in following location start menu, desktop and taskbar.
